Last week  Emily and I discussed how to learn English ,I suggested to write a composition every week. Although I give the suggestion, I don’t know what to write until last night when I watch the movie “Eight Below”.

         The movie is about friendship, trust, and courage. The main roles are eight sled-dogs. They are clever, brave, loyal and lovely. The story happened in Antarctica, where is a vast land of extremes with a diverse landscape. Antarctica is very cold and covers snow all the year around. Temperatures drop as low as -80 or go Celsius in the winter. Human can’t survive in such execrable environment, but some animal can, such as sled-dog.

         On a count of storming, their master Jerry left them in Antarctica. When he left, he promised that he world back. But due to many reasons, Jerry didn’t keep his promise. Sled-dogs had to meet the terribly situation by themselves. Dogs must choose, to wait or to leave. Waiting means death while leaving maybe has a chance to alive. Jack, the old dog, chose to wait for Jerry and died at original place. The other dogs led by Maya, their leader, left to find food. How smart Maya is! She can use stratagem to catch birds, I can’t believe she just a dog. Max, the youngest dog, was very innocent, rash, impulsive, and impish at first. He was just a kid. But he grew up very quickly and become a leader finally. When Maya was injured by a giant seal, Max led other dogs as a true leader.

          Their master Jerry also is a good man. Although he couldn’t keep his promise at first, he didn’t forget his friends. He tried every way he can and failed many times, but he hasn’t given up.  Finally. he went back and together with his dogs.

          The friendship between people and dogs are impressive. Xiaole couldn’t help crying. Although my composition is not good, the movie is really worth to watch.
